Open your Bible and read 2 Corinthians 5:14-21
“For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
2 Corinthians 5:21 · ESVSomething real happened the moment you said yes to Jesus. It was not a fresh start powered by your willpower. It was a trade.
Read that verse again, slowly. Jesus knew NO sin. At the cross He BECAME sin, all of it, yours included. And in the same exchange you BECAME the righteousness of God. Not someday. Not after you clean yourself up. Right now, while you sit here reading.
Righteousness means right standing with God. Perfect standing. It is not a score you build by praying enough or behaving enough. It was handed to you, bought with the blood of Jesus, and you had nothing to add to the price.
So the question today is not whether God accepts you. That is settled and sealed. The question is whether you will believe what He says about you more than what you feel about yourself. Will you?
Do this today
Say it out loud once, right where you are: I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
Say this out loud
“I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. I did not earn it and I cannot lose it.”
