Open your Bible and read John 14:25-31
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”
John 14:27 · ESVNotice the qualifier. Not as the world gives. The world's version of peace is circumstantial. It arrives when the diagnosis is clear, the money lands, the conflict resolves. It is real while it lasts and it lasts about as long as the circumstances do.
What Jesus offered is a different kind, and be careful not to oversell it. He never promised a smooth life. In the same conversation He told those men plainly that in the world they would have tribulation. He was hours away from the worst night of His life when He said this.
So this is not the absence of hard things. It is a settledness underneath them, because the biggest question, whether you are right with God, is no longer open.
If your anxiety runs deep or your mind will not settle, that can be a medical thing as much as a spiritual one. Get real help. God is not offended by doctors.

An honest thing to say to God
“God, I do not have peace about much right now. If Yours is different from the kind I have tried, I want to see it.”
