Day 7 of 60 · Who is this man?

Come To Me

Open your Bible and read Matthew 11:25-30

“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28 · ESV

One week in. Notice there has been no deadline, no altar call, no one counting how you are doing.

That is on purpose, and it matches him. When Jesus talks to tired people he does not add weight. He offers rest. Not a program, not a checklist of things to fix before he will look at you. Rest.

If you want to know what is on the table, it is this. Whenever you want it, you can tell him plainly that you are done running the whole thing yourself and you want him. That door stays open. There is no expiration on it, and nobody is going to keep bringing it up every day.

And if you finish these thirty days and walk away, that is genuinely allowed. He does not need you convinced this week. He is not in a hurry, so I am not either.

Do this today

Take five minutes today with no phone, no music, and nothing you have to say.

An honest thing to say to God

“I am tired. If there is real rest in you, I would want it.”
