Open your Bible and read Revelation 3:14-22
“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.”
Revelation 3:20 · ESVPicture it the way it is written. Jesus standing at the door of your heart, knocking. Not shouting. Not forcing the lock. Standing there, waiting on you to answer.
The handle is on the inside. He will not open it Himself, and that has been true for every one of the fifty six days you have spent looking at Him. He has been patient with your questions and your suspicion and your stalling. That patience is not indifference. It is respect.
Look at what He wants once the door opens. He says He will come in and eat with you. Not inspect you. Not lecture you. Share a meal, which in that culture meant sitting down with someone as family.
You have heard the knock or you would not still be reading. So the only real question left is a simple one. Are you going to open the door?

Sit somewhere quiet, picture Him waiting at that door, and tell Him honestly whether you want to open it.
