Open your Bible and read John 20:24-29
“Then he said to Thomas, 'Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side. Do not disbelieve, but believe.'”
John 20:27 · ESVOne of the twelve missed it. When the others told him they had seen Jesus alive, he flatly refused to take their word for it and demanded to touch the wounds himself.
Notice what Jesus did not do. He did not call the demand rebellious. He did not lecture him about doubting. He walked in and offered Thomas exactly what he had asked for, down to the detail.
That should tell you something about how your questions are received. The church has not always handled doubters well, and if you have been made to feel stupid for asking, that was not from Him.
Be honest about the limit, though. You probably will not get a hands in the wounds moment. Most people never did, even then. But you can ask for whatever it is you actually need, out loud, and see whether anything answers.
