Open your Bible and read John 19:28-30, then Revelation 3:20
“When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, It is finished, and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.”
John 19:30 · ESVIn that world, the word translated it is finished was stamped across business receipts. Paid in full. Nothing outstanding.
Thirty days ago this was a name you had opinions about. You have read what he claimed, how he treated the people everyone else discarded, and what saying it cost him. You have also seen that the hard questions have real answers and that some of them are still argued over honestly.
So here it is one last time, plainly, with nothing behind it. He describes himself standing at a door and knocking. The handle is on your side. If you want him, you do not need a church, a script, or a better week first. You tell him, out loud, in whatever words are actually true for you.
And if you are not there, the knocking does not stop. Neither does the welcome.
Do this today
Tell him plainly, in your own words, exactly where you honestly landed after thirty days.
An honest thing to say to God
“God, I have looked at him for thirty days. Here is where I really am, and I am telling you the truth about it.”
